Top 10 Fastest-Growing Jobs Over The Next Decade

Over time the employment landscape will change significantly. The booming careers ten years ago are not the same as the roles in demand today. In the next decade, it’s likely that careers will require a new set of skills that are beyond what we have today.

A report by McKinsey revealed that ‘employment in Europe has grown in knowledge-intensive sectors such as telecommunications, financial services, real estate, and education, while it has been declining in manufacturing and agriculture’.

Rapid developments in technology are expected to further change these growing jobs and could leave some roles obsolete altogether. In fact, it is estimated that automation could potentially destroy around 73 million jobs by 2030.

These shifts in the employment landscape are not all doom and gloom, and while some roles might become redundant over the years, others will be more needed than ever. There are many future job prospects, and knowing what they are, and the skills you need to thrive in them could set you up for success. Many of the jobs expected to grow in the next decade are in industries that have been hard hit by the COVID pandemic as well as in renewable energy, healthcare, and data.
