Mafer Garibay is Managing Partner for Horton International in Mexico, she has worked in multiple search projects, mainly in the technology, life sciences, retail and consumer industries, and has experience executing searches in Mexico and Latin America. For the last couple of years, Mafer has specialized in the Fintech ecosystem. She is responsible for the Management Consulting practice.
Prior to re-joining Horton, Mafer worked for nine years at Atabay Consulting, a local boutique search firm in Mexico. She was part our office in Mexico as Research Director and also worked for seven years as Research Associate for Korn/ Ferry Int. She also worked as Talent Acquisition and Staffing Manager for Techint, where she was responsible for the whole recruiting and selection process for Mexico and Central America. Mafer acts as a mentor for several executives and start-ups, as well as for non-profit organizations.
Mafer received her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico. She has a Master in Administration and Marketing from ThePowerMBA. She speaks fluent Spanish and English.
